David Stordalen

General band instruments; Beginner guitar and piano

About David

A music educator since 1997, David Stordalen has taught Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band and General Music to grades 5 through 12 in North Dakota and Minnesota as well as served as an adjunct professor at Bemidji State University and Martin Luther College. He also freelances as a trombonist and conductor in the area in his Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet and other ensembles. Dave is currently the Executive Director and Conductor of the Mankato Area Youth

 

Symphony Orchestra.

A military musician since 1986, David served as trombonist, vocalist and conductor in the 188thArmy Band, the 5th U.S. Army Band, the 323rdArmy Band, the U.S. Army Medical Command Band and the 34th Infantry Division “Red Bull” Band. His career culminated with his appointment as the Commander and Bandmaster of the 34th Infantry Division “Red Bull” Band in the Minnesota Army National Guard.
